January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month – a time to pause, reflect, and realign ourselves with our mission and the heart of why Mercy Workshop exists.

Our mission statement isn’t just words on a page. Every phrase was chosen with intention, to guide our decisions, shape our programs, and steward our resources wisely. At its core are three powerful action words that define everything we do – seek, find, and bring.

Mercy Workshop actively seeks out women and begins the sacred work of restoring them to community. We strive to offer each woman the opportunity to thrive as a dignified, valued member of society. Many begin this journey from a place of deep disadvantage, without proper documentation, facing illiteracy, and carrying the weight of complex trauma. Healing is rarely quick or easy, but we walk alongside them, step by step, because of that third action word in our mission: bring – bringing hope, stability, and belonging where it was once stolen.

As we acknowledge the gravity of human trafficking, we’re reminded this work is not meant to be done alone. There is a place for you in this mission. When you host a party, share Mercy with your church, or give financially, you become part of these action words – helping us seek, find, and bring restoration to women rebuilding their lives.
